The Japanese Waxbell is an absolute delight, with very dark, almost black red, stems. It grows to around 90-120cm (3-4') It produces the waxy yellow clusters from mid summer through to mid autumn. The foliage is attractively lobed, almost maple like, and offers a weed suppressing ground cover. It prefers partial or full shade, in a typical woodland type soil (organics rich and well drained).

This sophisticated Asian gem will certainly light up and add that something special to the shady plot!
