Bletilla striata 'Shi-ran' P9

A surprisingly easy hardy ground orchid to grow. It has rich purple flowers in late spring and early summer. Grow in moisture retentive and well drained soil. In cold areas you can treat as Dahlias, keeping just moist and frost free. in milder parts of the country mulch with a generous layer of leaf mould in the autumn/winter. Grows about 60cm high.
