Bergenia cordifolia 'Bressingham White' RHS AGM P9
€6.00
Bergenia ‘Bressingham White’ is a dependable, winter-tough perennial with a flair for elegance. Forming neat clumps of large, glossy, evergreen leaves, it typically reaches 30–40 cm tall, with sturdy stems carrying pure white flowers in early spring. As the blooms age, they often blush a gentle pink — like a shy compliment the plant can’t help but enjoy.
It thrives in sun or partial shade, in moist, well-drained soil, and is wonderfully tolerant of cold, drought, and general garden neglect. Give it a bit of compost and occasional water and it will behave with quiet, reliable charm.
Interesting fact: Bergenias are affectionately known as “elephant’s ears” thanks to their broad leaves — though rest assured, no elephants were consulted in the naming process..
A worthy owner of the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
