A hardy perennial in all but the coldest areas. Perfect for woodland gardens, it prefers a rich, moisture retentive soil. Dig in composted bark and leaf mould, or garden compost, when planting, plant bulbs about 8-10cm deep and they should need no further care. Mulch each autumn with leaf mould for excellent results.
One of the easiest to grow given a sheltered, shady spot. It grows to around 120cm so can be prone to wind damage if grown in exposed sites. The sheltered spot will also increase humidity, something this lush beauty will enjoy. The spathes are green and subtly striped with a very long s shaped spadix. Will quite readily clump up if happy.
