Pteridium aquilinum (Bracken Fern)
Pteridium aquilinum is the wild child of the fern world—bold, untamed, and not afraid to spread out. With towering, triangular fronds that can reach up to 2 metres tall, it brings a prehistoric vibe to any landscape (T. rex not included).
Thrives in sun or shade, in poor to decent soils, and practically grows on determination alone. But beware—this fern loves to roam! Best suited for wild gardens, large spaces, containers, or anywhere you want a touch of Jurassic drama. Handle with a bit of caution and a lot of admiration—this one’s a natural-born scene-stealer.
