Hosta 'Love Pat' 1 litre

Hosta ‘Love Pat’ – Blue Plantain Lily

Hosta ‘Love Pat’ is a beautiful, medium-sized hosta, prized for its thick, rounded, deeply cupped leaves of intense powdery blue-green. The heavily corrugated foliage forms a dense, attractive mound, gradually developing rich blue-green tones. Spikes of pale lavender to near-white, bell-shaped flowers in summer.

Growing approximately 35–50cm tall and 50–70cm wide, this clump-forming hosta thrives in partial to full shade, preferring moist, fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil. Protection from direct afternoon sunshine helps preserve its beautiful blue colouring, while its unusually thick, substantial leaves provide excellent resistance to slug and snail damage.

An outstanding choice for woodland gardens, shady borders, containers and naturalistic planting, ‘Love Pat’ provides striking foliage colour and texture. Particularly attractive alongside ferns, golden-leaved hostas and other shade-loving perennials.

RHS Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
