Hosta 'Golden Waffles' 1 litre

Hosta ‘Golden Waffles’ – Golden Plantain Lily

Hosta ‘Golden Waffles’ is a striking, medium to large Hosta, The thick, deeply veined leaves emerge bright chartreuse-green in spring, gradually developing rich golden-yellow tones as the season progresses. Mature leaves become attractively puckered and corrugated, giving this distinctive hosta its name. Spikes of creamy-white, bell-shaped flowers appear in mid to late summer.

Growing approximately 45–60cm tall, this hardy, clump-forming hosta thrives in partial shade, preferring moist, fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil. Some gentle morning sunshine helps develop its beautiful golden colouring, provided adequate moisture is maintained.

An outstanding choice for woodland gardens, shady borders, large containers and naturalistic planting, ‘Golden Waffles’ provides brilliant foliage colour and impressive texture. Particularly effective alongside blue-leaved hostas, ferns and other shade-loving perennials.
