Hosta 'Guacamole' RHS AGM P11 (1.3 litre)

Hosta ‘Guacamole’

Hosta ‘Guacamole’ is a magnificent large Hosta, prized for its heart-shaped leaves with vibrant apple-green to golden-yellow centres and contrasting dark green margins. The attractive, deeply veined foliage forms a substantial, spreading mound, with tall stems bearing large, beautifully fragrant, near-white to pale lavender, bell-shaped flowers in summer.

Growing approximately 45–60cm tall, this vigorous hosta thrives in partial shade, preferring moist, fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil. Some gentle morning sunshine enhances its golden colouring, while its thick, substantial leaves offer some resistance to slug and snail damage.

An outstanding choice for woodland gardens, shady borders, large containers and naturalistic planting, ‘Guacamole’ provides brilliant foliage colour and wonderfully fragrant summer flowers. Particularly attractive alongside blue-leaved hostas, ferns and other shade-loving perennials.

RHS Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
