Deparia petersenii – Japanese Lady Fern

Deparia petersenii is an elegant, easy-to-grow woodland fern producing fresh green, finely divided fronds that form a soft, spreading clump.

Growing to approximately 45–60cm high and 60–90cm wide, it is an excellent fern for shady borders, woodland gardens, underplanting shrubs and naturalistic planting.

Grow in partial to full shade in fertile, humus-rich soil that is moist but well drained; it performs particularly well where the soil remains reasonably cool and moist through summer.

The fresh green foliage combines beautifully with hostas, hellebores, epimediums and other shade-loving perennials.
