Carex morrowii 'Goldband' 2 litre

A lovely variety of sedge with dark green leaves edged with creamy gold. It is a very versatile plant, enjoying sun or shade in moist to wet soils. It will also cope well with drier soils in shade. It is equally effective as a solo plant, or planted en mass. It also looks great in containers. It has a height and spread of about 40cm.

Planted en mass works well as an evergreen ground cover, the dense foliage acting as a good weed suppressant.

The etymology of Carex is from the Greek 'keirein', to cut, referring to the leaves.
