Anemone 'Ruffled Swan' 1.5 litre

Anemone ‘Ruffled Swan’ – Japanese Anemone / Windflower

Anemone ‘Ruffled Swan’ is an outstanding deciduous, summer-flowering perennial, prized for its beautiful semi-double, ruffled white flowers with striking violet-blue undersides and golden-yellow centres. The large, slightly nodding flowers, measuring up to 8–9cm across, are carried on elegant, branching stems above attractive, deeply lobed green foliage. Flowering generously from June or July through to October, it provides months of colour and movement in the garden.

Growing approximately 60–80cm tall and 50–80cm wide, this hardy, clump-forming anemone thrives in partial shade or gentle sun, preferring fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil.

Particularly effective in woodland gardens, partially shaded borders, cottage gardens and naturalistic planting, ‘Ruffled Swan’ combines beautifully with ferns, hostas and ornamental grasses. Its unusually coloured flowers also attract pollinating insects.
