Trillium cuneatum

Trillium cuneatum – Little Sweet Betsy is a beautiful woodland perennial, prized for its unusual three-lobed, mottled green foliage and nodding, maroon to yellow-green flowers that appear in spring.

Growing to around 30–40cm tall, it is ideal for naturalising in woodland gardens, shady borders and beneath deciduous trees and shrubs.

Grow in partial to full shade in deep, fertile, humus-rich soil that remains consistently moist but well drained, preferably neutral to acidic.

A fascinating spring ephemeral that dies back after flowering, Trillium cuneatum is fully hardy and an excellent choice for naturalistic shade planting.
