Ajuga reptans ‘Chocolate Chip’ – a petite powerhouse of dark foliage and seasonal charm. This low‑growing groundcover forms neat mats of rich chocolate‑brown leaves just 10–15 cm tall, spreading steadily to fill shady patches with texture and colour. In late spring, short spikes of blue flowers rise above the foliage, offering nectar for bees and other pollinators.

Thrives in moist, humus‑rich, well‑drained soil in partial to full shade and tolerates a bit of sun if kept damp. Easy‑going and low‑maintenance, it’s perfect for edging paths, shady borders, or small garden nooks where a touch of drama is welcome.
