Musa basjoo - Hardy Banana 2 litre pot

Height up to 4m. A fabulous plant from Japan for the 'jungle' border! The leaves are burned off by frost but the stem is hardy to about -6C and the roots to -15C. In milder areas they can be grown outside with fleece to help protect the stem but overall safer to lift in the autumn and keep indoors until the new leaves emerge in spring. Great for containers, a good quality compost and regular watering when in growth. Reduce watering when dormant.
