Marsilea quadrifolia – a charming, low-growing aquatic fern often called “four-leaf clover water fern.” Reaching just 5–15 cm tall, it spreads steadily to form a lush, clover-like mat at the water’s edge or in shallow ponds. Thrives in consistently moist to wet soil or shallow water, in full sun to partial shade. Ideal for pond margins, water gardens, or damp borders, it also provides cover and habitat for aquatic wildlife while adding a delicate, textured look.
