Hosta 'T-Rex' P11 (1.3 litre)

Hosta ‘T-Rex’ – Giant Hosta / Plantain Lily

Hosta ‘T-Rex’ is a magnificent, giant deciduous perennial, prized for its enormous, deeply veined, heart-shaped green leaves. The impressive, slightly corrugated and gently undulating foliage can reach 45cm in length, gradually forming a spectacular mound of architectural greenery. Tall stems bearing delicate, near-white bell-shaped flowers rise above the foliage in summer.

Growing approximately 75–90cm tall and up to 200cm wide, this exceptionally large hosta thrives in partial to full shade, preferring moist, fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil. A sheltered position and consistent moisture encourage the development of its enormous leaves.

An outstanding specimen hosta for woodland gardens, large shady borders and spacious containers, ‘T-Rex’ provides dramatic foliage and impressive structure. Slow to reach its full size, this spectacular giant is well worth the patience.
