Hosta 'Bulletproof' P9

Hosta ‘Bulletproof’ is a striking deciduous, shade-loving perennial, prized for its exceptionally thick, almost leathery metallic-blue leaves, which provide excellent resistance to slug and snail damage.

A sport of Hosta ‘Halcyon’, its deeply veined, slightly pointed foliage forms a handsome, compact mound, while elegant spikes of pale lavender-violet, bell-shaped flowers appear in summer.

Growing approximately 35–40cm tall and 45–60cm wide, this hardy hosta thrives in partial to full shade, preferring fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil. Protect from prolonged direct sunlight to preserve its beautiful blue colouring.

An excellent choice for woodland gardens, shady borders, containers and planting alongside ferns and other shade-loving perennials, ‘Bulletproof’ provides outstanding foliage interest from spring until autumn.
