Athyrium nipponicum 'Pictum' Japanese Painted Fern RHS AGM 1 litre

Deciduous, height to 50-60cm, spread 40-50cm.

Very hardy.

Beautiful colourful fronds decorate this fern, a tempting mixture of silvers, pinks, purples and greens. It is easy to grow in a nice shady spot, sheltered from strong winds. It prefers a rich soil, preferably neutral or slightly acidic, will also grow in mildly alkaline soil as long as organic matter is incorporated when planting. This fern benefits from an annual mulch of leaf litter/compost or bark.
