Epimedium ‘Black Sea’ – Barrenwort / Fairy Wings

Epimedium ‘Black Sea’ is a striking, shade-loving woodland perennial, prized for its dramatic seasonal foliage and delicate spring flowers. The attractive, heart-shaped leaflets emerge with reddish tints, mature to green and develop rich burgundy-purple, almost black tones in autumn and winter. Sprays of small, translucent yellow flowers with warm orange-pink accents appear on slender stems in April and May.
