Alice's Sundew is one of the easiest Sundew's to keep. Like D. capensis it comes from the Cape region of South Africa. The leaves grow to about 3cm long and radiate from the centre. The leaves are green with vivid red tentacles, atop with a drop of a glue like substance. These are great for eliminating fungus gnats! Relatively tall pink stalks with pink flowers appear sporadically throughout the growing season.

Grow in a bright spot and keep well watered with rain water. Unlike the Sarracenias they don't like to be waterlogged so allow the saucer to dry a little between watering. Don't use normal compost, a mixture of peat moss and perlite/washed silica sand works well.

Awarded the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit. (RHS AGM).
