Cyrtomium fortunei var. clivicola ( Fortune’s Holly Fern)
Tough, tidy, and effortlessly stylish, Cyrtomium fortunei var. clivicola is a low growing holly fern with light green leathery fronds growing on arching stems. A group of these make great groundcover.
Growing to around 30–45cm tall and wide, it’s perfect for shady borders, containers, or adding year-round texture to woodland gardens. Thrives in part to full shade with moist, well-drained soil, and shrugs off dry spells once settled. Evergreen, deer-resistant, and practically indestructible—it’s then graceful arching fern with a no-fuss attitude. Gardening just got easier.
