An attractive large fern, the fronds have a softer feeling than the similar P. aculeatum. It is adaptable to most garden environments, a good choice for damp shady spots but also an excellent fern for drier spots. It is a cosmopolitan species found throughout the Northern Hemisphere.
Named after Alexander Carl Heinrich Braun, 1805-1877, a German botanist.
