Brunnera macrophylla 'Silver Spear' P11 (1.3 litre)

Brunnera macrophylla ‘Silver Spear’ – Siberian Bugloss is a striking shade-loving perennial, valued for its large, heart-shaped silver leaves attractively veined and edged in green, followed by airy sprays of bright blue, forget-me-not-like flowers in spring.

Growing to around 50cm tall and up to 1m wide, it is an excellent choice for adding luminous foliage to shady borders, woodland gardens, underplanting and ground cover.

Grow in partial to full shade in moderately fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil; it is hardy to RHS H6 (-20 to -15°C).

‘Silver Spear’ is particularly useful where you want a long-lasting silver-leaved plant for shade with excellent foliage interest.
