Bletilla striata RHS AGM 1 litre

Bletilla striata, commonly known as the Chinese Ground Orchid or Hardy Orchid, is a reliable, deciduous terrestrial orchid that produces attractive clumps of pleated, sword-shaped green leaves and elegant rose-pink to magenta orchid flowers from late spring into early summer.

Growing to around 30–60cm tall, it is surprisingly hardy, with an RHS hardiness rating of H4, and thrives in moist but well-drained, humus-rich soil in partial shade, preferably in a sheltered position.

Bletilla striata has received the RHS Award of Garden Merit (AGM) for its reliable garden performance, making it an excellent choice for woodland gardens, cottage-style planting, flower borders and containers.
