Schizachyrium scoparium 'Standing Ovation' 1 litre

Schizachyrium scoparium ‘Standing Ovation’ – Little Bluestem is an outstanding ornamental grass for full sun, valued for its strong upright habit and spectacular seasonal colour. Its narrow blue-green foliage develops vivid orange, copper, red and purple tones in autumn, while airy silvery flower spikes appear from late summer into autumn and remain attractive through winter.

Growing to approximately 1.2m tall and 40–45cm wide, ‘Standing Ovation’ is particularly useful where a narrow, vertical grass is needed in prairie planting, gravel gardens, sunny borders and naturalistic planting.

Plant in full sun or light shade, and well-drained soil, including relatively poor or dry soils; avoid persistently wet ground. Extremely hardy, drought tolerant and low maintenance, cut back to the ground in late winter or early spring.
