A naturally occuring hybrid of the south east of the United States of Sarracenia purpure and S. flava, growing to 70cm high. Pitchers are green, maturing to red with brick red flowers in late spring/early summer.
This is one that can be grown on rafts, probably the easiest way to grow them. Just make sure the crowns are above water. They can also be grown in pots of peat moss, sphagnum moss mixed with perlite or vermiculite. Place the pot in a saucer of rainwater.
