Pulmonaria rubra P9

The first of the Lungworts to flower, this welcome beauty has deep red flowers appearing in January through into March atop green leaves. The early Bumblers will love for this, as will other pollinators looking for sustenance if they rise early.

It prefers a good fertile soil in partial shade but will also perform very well in full sun as long as the soil remains moist. For best results, (but not essential) you can remove the old leaves after flowering. It will grow about 30cm (1 foot) high.
