Pulmonaria saccharata ‘Mrs Moon’ – Spotted Lungwort

Pulmonaria officinalis ‘Mrs Moon’ is a beautiful, hardy semi-evergreen perennial, prized for its striking, silver-spotted, deep green leaves and delightful spring flowers. Clusters of delicate, funnel-shaped flowers emerge pink, gradually changing to violet-blue and lilac, creating a colourful display from March to May. The attractive, softly hairy foliage forms a lush, spreading mound, providing interest long after flowering.

Growing approximately 30cm tall and 60cm wide, this vigorous, clump-forming perennial thrives in partial to full shade, preferring fertile, well-drained soil.

An excellent choice for woodland gardens, shady borders, ground cover and planting beneath trees and shrubs, ‘Mrs Moon’ provides beautiful early-season colour while attracting bees and other pollinators. Particularly attractive alongside ferns, hostas and other shade-loving perennials.

Semi-evergreen. Hardy and well suited to Irish gardens.
