Evergreen, height to 75cm.
One of the very best evergreen ferns for the garden, the fresh green blades of the fronds contrast beautifully with the tan-brown stipes. The fronds stay looking fresh throughout winter, they also last well in flower arrangements.
This particular fern comes from Japan, China and Taiwan, and also the Himalayas. It likes a decent garden soil (a little extra compost when planting will reward you with even more luxuriant growth) and light shade.
