Plug plant collection. 7 x hardy fern plugs

Hardy Fern Plug Collection

Create your own beautiful fernery with our Hardy Fern Plug Collection, featuring seven young, rooted fern plants selected from our range of hardy garden ferns. An affordable and rewarding way to establish a woodland garden, fill shady borders or expand an existing fern collection.

Fern plugs offer excellent value, allowing you to grow a variety of beautiful ferns for considerably less than the cost of established plants. Although small when supplied, these young ferns will gradually develop into attractive, mature specimens with a little patience and care.

Growing on your fern plugs: Pot each plug into a 9cm pot using good-quality compost. Keep in a cool, sheltered position in shade, watering regularly without waterlogging. Once the roots are well established and healthy new fronds have developed, the ferns can be planted into the garden.

Please note: These are young plants that will benefit from protection against severe frost during their first winter.
