Hosta 'So Sweet'

Hosta ‘So Sweet’ – Fragrant Variegated Plantain Lily

Hosta ‘So Sweet’ is a beautiful, compact Hosta, prized for its glossy, deep green leaves edged with creamy-white margins. The attractive, slightly pointed foliage forms a neat, spreading mound, while elegant stems bearing fragrant, near-white, bell-shaped flowers, delicately striped with pale lavender, rise above the leaves in mid to late summer.

Growing approximately 25–40cm tall and 30–50cm wide, this exceptionally hardy, clump-forming hosta thrives in partial shade, preferring moist, fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil. A sheltered position with protection from strong afternoon sunshine helps maintain its attractive variegated foliage.

An excellent choice for woodland gardens, shady borders, containers, pathway edging and naturalistic planting, ‘So Sweet’ provides beautiful foliage contrast and delightfully scented summer flowers. Particularly attractive alongside ferns and other shade-loving perennials.
