Hosta 'Chain Lightning' P 11 (1.3 litre)

Hosta ‘Chain Lightning’

Hosta ‘Chain Lightning’ is a striking deciduous, shade-loving perennial, prized for its thick, rounded, slightly cupped blue-green leaves with bold, irregular golden-yellow centres that gradually fade to creamy white. As the plant matures, the leaves develop attractive corrugations, while slender stems carry delicate pale lavender to almost white, bell-shaped flowers in summer.

Forming a compact, spreading mound approximately 25–40cm tall and 45–70cm wide, this hardy hosta thrives in partial or dappled shade, preferring fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil.

An excellent choice for woodland gardens, shady borders, containers and planting alongside ferns and other shade-loving perennials, ‘Chain Lightning’ provides exceptional foliage interest from spring through autumn.
