Hosta 'Autumn Frost' P11

Hosta ‘Autumn Frost’ – Variegated Plantain Lily

Hosta ‘Autumn Frost’ is a stunning, medium-sized hosta, prized for its thick, heart-shaped, frosty blue-green leaves with broad, golden-yellow margins that mature to creamy white. Elegant spikes of pale lavender, bell-shaped flowers appear in mid to late summer.

Growing approximately 40–50cm tall and 60–90cm wide, this clump-forming hosta thrives in partial shade, preferring moist, fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil. Some morning sunshine is beneficial, but protection from strong afternoon sun helps preserve its beautiful foliage colours.

An outstanding choice for woodland gardens, shady borders, containers and naturalistic planting, ‘Autumn Frost’ provides brilliant colour contrast throughout the growing season. Its thick, substantial leaves also offer some resistance to slug damage.
