A fabulous species for giving the moist, shady border a Japanese lift! It grows into a compact, cascading mounds about 30cm. The blades are a fresh green witb distinctive bright, golden stripes, through mid-spring to late autumn. Where they pick up hints of purple. Prefers partial shade but tolerant of full shade as well. Cut back to ground level in late winter/early spring, before new growth appears and that's it! Very low maintenace for a great look. Superb with ferns and Japanese maples for an oriental look.
