Fully decidious, they die down completely over winter. A very attractive plant for pond edges or very damp/wet areas such as bog gardens. They form dense colonies with a glorious vertical appeal. New growth is bronze/light brown, maturing to green.
They grow about 100cm high with a similar spread after 2-3 years.
