A delightful hardy orchid flowering from June through to early September. Thrives in regularly flooded soil and spreads by underground rhizomes. This is an orchid for those with calcareous soils, it is not tolerant of acid soils. Prefers a sunny site but can also be grown well in partial shade. It is a native species and is grown from cultivated stock.
