Dryopteris lepidopoda - Sunset Fern P9

Dryopteris lepidopoda – a graceful, medium-sized evergreen fern forming clumps 45–50 cm tall and wide, with finely divided fronds that emerge a striking coppery-bronze before maturing to glossy green. This seasonal color shift adds dramatic interest and texture to shady borders, woodland gardens, or naturalistic plantings.

Thrives in moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil in partial to full shade. Slow-growing and low-maintenance, it provides year-round structure, shelter for shade-loving wildlife, and a dynamic splash of colour in spring that makes it one of the most eye-catching ferns for shaded corners.

A truly beautiful fern from the Himalaya's. Similar to Dryopteris wallichiana but smaller and the new fronds are much more colourful. Very easy to grow and a delightful addition.
