A fabulous, attractive yet oh so tough fern. Grows a stately 1.2m high (4ft) with well crested fronds. Deciduous except in very sheltered areas where it may retain most of its fronds.
An excellent choice for dry shade conditions. Water in well when planting and only water if necessary. It establishes quickly so should look after itself after one growing season.
Not fussy on soils, prefers shade but will cope with plenty of sun as long as soil is moist.
