Brunnera macrophylla ‘Alexandria’ – Siberian Bugloss
Brunnera macrophylla ‘Alexandria’ is a beautiful shade-loving perennial with large, heart-shaped silver leaves that bring light and contrast to darker parts of the garden, followed by delicate sprays of bright blue, forget-me-not-like flowers in spring.
Growing to around 30–45cm tall and up to 60cm wide, it is ideal for woodland gardens, shady borders and planting beneath trees and shrubs.
Grow in partial shade in moist, fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil, where the foliage will remain fresh and attractive throughout the growing season. Hardy to RHS H6, ‘Alexandria’ is an excellent choice for adding long-lasting foliage interest to a shady garden.
