Deciduous, Height 50cm AGM.
Another glorious Japanese fern offering colour to the fern garden. New yellow fronds turn to light green contrasting superbly with the bright red ribs. An enjoyable and exotic mix of yellow/purple/green and red! It has long lasting fronds. In sheltered spots it holds on to its fronds until early winter and produced new fronds very early, from February to March depending on temperatures.
Enjoys similar conditions to the painted ferns: moisture retentive, well drained soil in partial shade.
